We will be working on a project "The Cell Analogy Project!" next two weeks! - I went ahead and outlined the entire project to help you pace and not get overwhelmed.
Day 1: Monday May 4th -
1) Make sure you have accepted my online Science Google Classroom Invite.
2) Print out the Cell Notes and Project attachment, located in Google Classroom.
3) Watch the following video of the explanation of Cell Parts page 1 - page 2, Organelles to Mitochondria.

Day 2: Tuesday May 5th -
1) Watch the following video of the explanation of Cell Parts page 3 and 4, the E.R. to Cell Walls.

Day 3: Wednesday May 6th -
1) We are ready to begin the cell analogy project... Look over page 5 and 6. These are the guidelines and steps for the project.
2)Complete Step 1...
3) Join me for our Zoom (6A 3:30 / 6B 4:30)
Day 4: Thursday May 7th -
1) Begin Step 2, 3, and 4 (pages 5 and 6).
2) Use pages 7 and 8 from your packet to help you organize steps 2 and 4.
2) Work on completing the "why" that part of your system matches the cell part.
Day 5: Friday May 8th -
1) Complete Steps 2, 3, and 4 - and the graphic organizer (pages 7 and 8).
2) Make sure each cell structure is compared to something in your system, make sure you have at least TWO reasons why your comparison is like the cell part for each organelle.

Day 6: Monday May 11th -
1) Step 5 - Decide how you plan to display or present your project... here are some examples of student work from the past... (Click on the pictures to enlarge.)

1) Create the last organelle pages / slides of your project...
2) Join my in Zoom for an explanation and example of the cell model!! (6A 3:30 / 6B 4:30)
Day 9: Thursday May 14th -
1) Step 6 - Begin gathering your model materials
2) Begin creating your cell model
Day 10: Friday May 15 -
1) Finalize your cell model and analogy project - look over the rubric page 9 to make sure you have completed everything to the best of your ability.
2) Make sure to send me pictures of both your analogy project and model through the Google Classroom Assignment.
